First of all thanks for the friendly welcome to the savagist's "community" (especially to Frank and Tim!).
So here's one of the stupid questions I talked about: Which way does the petrol lever (is it called like that in English?) below the tank have to point for open/close/reserve? I got no manual with my second hand Savage and I couldn't find any marks on the lever.
Instead of giving my usual list of excuses (just passed driving test, no experience and so on...) I am looking forward for your answers and say thank you in advance.
By the way: First rides out were great fun! Even though I'm quite tall (1,75 m) seating position is quite all right for the legs. But I think I'll drop off the drag bar and go for something like an "ape hanger-light" (app. 20 - 30 cms in height) to sit up right and comfortable.
